Tentatively- The belt dia is .650 and base is .630 dia ahead of belt.First of all we don't pushe the belt on and make a real sharp radius in the corner.I use my case spinner/lathe and start the step for belt in the area of the heavy radius and base, with a tool, with step being angled out as it goes forward so as not to thin sides ahead of belt If base is too thin and too small of radius, I can't use that style case. Then I shape the case with three swages, stopping at the belt step I made.I never swage the base or the belt to cause any base damage..Rim, Belt, and Base sizes all set by cutting tool.Ed.

Good work Ed, what did the case length turn out to be?

Smallfry--That one turned out 3.46. As Nyati case it started out 3.35..I have to add an extra swaging die in the operation, and it should get 3.50 in long and less stress on case in the reforming process.Ed.

Ed, looks great.Any idea how the brass will go for pressures? Karl.

Karl-It will take same high pressures as regular belted cases.Just like my 458 HE does,In fact it has a bigger radius in the corner than Weatherby cases.Ed.

Ed, What is the belt diameter versus base diameter? How many steps do you take in your swaging process, if you don't mind my asking? Thanks, Scott
