Anybody know where I can get some 30mm QD rings for a CZ550? I have tried Warn, Talley, etc.etc. with no luck.

In the Recknagel catalog (Germany) I see several 30mm scope mounts for the CZ 550. The distributor for Recknagel in the USA is New England Custom Gun. It's a long shot but contacting NECG might pay off.

1115,

Have you talked to Warne directly?

I found this on their website:

quote:
Brno CZ 19mm Dovetail Quick Detach - 30mm Scope Tube

MEDIUM
Gloss - 14BLG
Matte - 14BLM
Silver - 14BLS

I presume the 14xxx is the part number. Maybe you can call and ask them?

I'm interested in a set for a Brno ZG-47 myself. Wink

I have Millett 30mm rings on my CZ 550. I purchased them from Lock Stock and Barrel.

Should be able to get 30 mm Warne rings from Brownells.

The Millett 30 rings wouldn't stay tight on my 416 Rigby, rear ring broke, I need to send them back.

I like the Warne rings.

I have checked Brownells and Warne, and the word I get is that they have discontinued the 30mm CZ rings. I will take a look at the Millett rings. Talley is planning on making them, but when I called them today they had no idea when they would be available. I won't need them until March for a PAC elephant hunt in Zim, but would like to have them long enough for them to gain my trust. Thanks for the input guys.

I might still have a set of "Lynx" 30mm rings for a CZ 550. I can't recall if they have a lever or not either. If you're interested send me a PM and I'll look for them. I think I bought them from Brownells.

Yep,
Millett rings are pretty, pretty trashy. They are fit only for .22 Rimfire. I have "broken" enough Millett rings to never want to use them again, except on a .22 Rimfire or BB gun.

I have a set of Lynx rings for CZ550 for the one inch tubes. It's not sturdy enough to hold on to a scoped 416 Rigby, at least that's what I found. My Talley's hold the Leupold nice and tight so I hope they finally come out with a 30mm version.

According to Talley, they will be coming out with 30mm rings relatively soon. But I suggest we all e-mail them to make sure they get going, and don't keep leaving the project on hold. Wink

Yeah the Millet rings for the CZ are not what they should be, but at the time I couldn't get Warne.

I need a set of 30 mm rings for one of my CZ's, guess I will have to do something else.

I just use the CZ 30mm rings. They are plenty good enough and hell for stout. I even had a set engraved for my .458 Lott.

I do replace all of the screws with hardened hex bolts, since the OEM slotted ring screws are easily sheared off and I don't like slotted screws anyway.
