Have looked for a bore guide for my .458 Lott. No one seems to make one. I have tried a couple of home made ones that basically don't work. If you guys know where I can order one, or how to make one it would be greatly appreciated.

My humble contribution to this problem can be found under the thread "Wink's bore guide". Hit the "find" button at the top of thread and type "Wink's bore guide" in the box for a search and you will get the link.

How about another home made job, but this one works....

drill out a hole in the primer hole to fit a large arrow shaft or plastic tube...and glass it in....cut off at about 12 inches...cut a slot in the shaft for oiling patch, I have one for each caliber...

you can also use your left hand fingers to guide the rod off the lands on a big bore with a little practice, not so a small bore...
