should I put a cross bolt in a laminate stock for this? The recoil lug looks kinda small. It will be steel bedded. What modifications need to be done to the mag box? Looks like the rear wall can be moved back easily. What changes to the follower? What barrel length is best? I need info

the enfield could benefit from the crossbolt, and looks good, anyway.

the 404 is not a big kicker, under factory loadings, and is not particularly brutal on stocks.. the is based off building a number of 416s which are easy on stocks

you should get a winchester model 70 RUM follower from brownells
