Macifej- When getting big bore barrels worked good for me, it took 6 months for the
two fastest ones, Next best one took a year.
Next 2 best ones year and a half, next
3 I need, not ever yet, with 2 of them, guy closing shop, and other one over two years.
So when I can get barrels by trading, etc,
from a stack like a pile of wood, that only
need me to ream out I gotta use them, and they match the case I ended up with , for
perfect bullet diameter.Ed

daum, what happened here?

Anyway, thought I'd share a pic of a 4 bore rifle, made by Holland and Holland. I'm holding it in the basement gun vault of H&H in London, maybe 1991? Quite a tour my friend and I had.

thanks, troy

Carry on Ed! Pretty stubby Four Bore & a capper too! What's the vintage on the rifle? Did they offer to whip up another one for you?

Macifej, is that a challenge to shoot this rifle?! If it was intended as such, I will gladly accept!
Now I do have to ask, as these questions have been going through my mind as I write this. Does anyone know what style of rifle this cartridge is being chambered in? I would assume it's not a double, beings that would just be massive and probably quite unwieldly.

Metalsmith.

Not a challenge - an invite. Single shot breech loader of proprietary type. Should be at Pendleton in late fall.

Wonderful indeed, it will be a pleasure to meet you! I'll keep in touch with you to get some good footage of this rifle!
Now call me dense if you'd like but are you the engineer/manager of this company or the rifles being chambered so? I admire this rather risky attempt of putting such a massive cartridge into the crowd, I do suspect it will be well recieved. A great breath of fresh air that someone finally realizes big bores rule!

Metalsmith - Yes I'm the chief mad scientist and proprietor. Part of a team. Our venture started as a challenge from ex U.S., Hungarian, and Serbian Army shooters. They thought it couldn't be done. I believe I have proved them wrong. We will see how much interest develops for this type of product over the next year. If it takes off then we are set up to do limited serial production. Bring your own camera if you like but we have a contract with a professional film crew from Burbank who'll bring the heavy metal.
