Hi Dave,
The buff was 50-60yds. away when I shot the Woodleigh soft at him, so the velocities were not that far above the advertised velocity rating (less than 200fps).
The episode turned out okay, thanks to the .375 Swifts and .470 solids.

My .475/500gr Swifts arrived today, and I don't have to concern myself with using the Woodleigh softs on buff anymore (but I still like them for use on lion ).
