I'm considering mounting a Trijicon 1.25-4 Accupoint on my new M77. Are there any problems associated with this combination? Is the scope long enough to bridge the action without requiring offset rings?

Did you measure the maximum spacing required with the rings on the rifle yet? Have you checked the Trijicon site for the specs? These are the kinds of questions I nag and niggle through on just about anything regarding rifles. Drives me nuts! But, we've got to find out. I've been bugging this board for all kinds of strange information lately... __________________________________________________ From the Trijicon site: http://www.trijicon.com/ TR21R Model #: TR21R Price: $700.00 Lead Time: 12-14 weeks Details: AccuPoint 1.25-4x24 Riflescope, Red triangle Magnification: 1.25x-4x Eye Relief: 4.8 to 3.4 inches Exit Pupi: 16.9 to 6.0 mm Field of View: 11.6 to 3.9 degrees Field of view @100 yds.: 61.6 feet to 20.5 feet Adjustment Increments: 4 clicks per inch @ 100 yds Reticle/Triangle Dimensions: 11MOA to 4 MOA Length: 10.2 inches Weight: 11.4 oz _________________________________________________ I don't see any maximum ring spacing specs. Maybe you could call and get them factory direct. Good Luck. [ 09-05-2003, 08:01: Message edited by: BusMaster007 ]

I'm not too worried about the ring height, regarding the Trijicon, I have a major distributer in town. As luck would have it, I work in a gun store. I'll call Trijicon and ask. Even if it won't fit, I still want one of their scopes for another project.

Urodoji, I am interested in how this turns out for you. I hve both the Trijicon 3-9X40 and the 1.4-4X24, although neither is on a Ruger. Dr. Glyn Bindon of Trijicon has the prototype 1.4-4 scope mounted on a .460 Weatherby, but I don't recall (if I ever knew) what mounts and rings he used. Please post your results. jim dodd

I'm going to the range tomorrow to make sure my iron sights are zeroed, and then I'll start worrying about the scope. That will give me time to save my moolah.
