Did you try a search on the double rifle forum?

Hint:

Double rifles:

RL-15 87 to 92 grains (depends on rifle, brass, and which 500-grain bullet)
with 5 grains of Dacron filler
and F-215 primer
chronograph and work up to to good group,
hopefully near 2100 to 2150 fps, if your DR was regulated properly.

Or:

108 to 110 grains of H4831SC or H4831LC with 500-grain bullet and no filler: George Hoffman Memorial Load

Ruger No.1:
Use 470 Mbogo data.
Get 500-grainers up to 2500 fps.
You really don't need to go to 2700 fps.
Start at 100 grains of RL-15 with no filler and work up.

Important to know who built the rifle ... if Butch Searcy you might simply e-mail him with the serial number and he'll tell you what the rifle was regulated for.

He recommended 45 gr of AA 5744 behind a 500 gr cast bullet with no filler for my older Searcy. I use a FPGC bullet cast from wheel weights with a Ballistic mold. It is sized to 0.476" and lubed with Carnauba Red.

If other, the search will locate the helpful threads.

I think Mike is asking for a reduced cast bullet load in the 470.

On another note, has anyone experimented with Puff-Lon as a filler instead of dacron?

My 470 shot 2050 with 5oo Woodleigh and 56 gr of RX 15 and pillow stuffing.

It was a Merkel and extremely accurate.

If "RX 15" is supposed to be "Alliant Reloder 15," 1.e., "RL-15,"
then this is very strange indeed.
Was that "56" supposed to be "86?"
