For you lefties out there here is one on Gun Broker.

If you are going to carry a big stick, you've got to whack someone with it at least every once in while.

I also have the same rifle on there currently and someone bid it up to 1699.
http://www.forthehunt.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?item=46387723
But it looks like I will close the auction early because the bidder has no feedback. It seems very suspicious to me that someone with no feedback would be high bidder on several different rifles at the same time. There have been a lot of scammers bidding on rifles just to clear them off the market and then they post adds for guns that don't exist.
Just 2 weeks ago I watched a person purchase a rifle for $2,200 and then "sell" the exact same one he had for about $1,500. It has to be some sort of scam.
I emailed gunbrokers many times and the emails simply fall of blind eyes.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

When the "Winchester" plant closing was made public, I went in one of the local shops to take a look at couple of 375's and a 416 Rem. Ended up just walking away becuuse I did not think they were worth $899 Roll Eyes

A couple of days later, decided I would go ahead and purchase all three but they were all gone by then CRYBABY..

Snowwolff, did you get my PMs?

I'm glad I bought my lefty in 2004 when Winchester made their last run.

Actually they made a run in Feb of this year. The last one I purchased was stamped shipped in Feb or early March.

I was told by Winchester that the tooling changeover was done once per year for lefthanded models right before the annual maintenance outage because they lost a week's production for the whole line when it happened. And the 375 H&H actions were only done every three to four years because of the extra machining it took to get the long cases to fit.

No wonder Winchester went broke. It doesn't make a lot of sense to shut down production and spend the money and time necessary for changing all of the tooling over right before they closed the plant down for good.

Fjold,
I think once they announced plans to close the doors they emptied the supply of actions they were saving for lefthanded custom rifles and finished them out as Safari Express models.

Ah, that makes much more sense. Thanks

Since I caught a little grief over the post in the Classifieds, I'm repeating it here.

For everyone's information, THIS IS NOT MY RIFLE, I DON"T KNOW WHOSE IT IS.

I just saw it and the title for Gunbroker did not indicate that it was a Left-Handed rifle. I do know that "lefties" sometimes find it hard to locate nice rifles and I thought I would just pass along the info.
