Daddy2B8162, My next rifle will be a .375 RUM. But in this forum I have seen so many negative advices on Rem rifle that I've chosen an other solution. I'll take a CZ 550 Mag Safari in .375 H&H, because great big action, good quality, low price. My gunsmith'll rechamber it into .375 RUM with a very little job. Daddy2B8162, Maybe you could put down your thoughts on why you are interested in a 375 RUM. Makes it much easier. Mike

Mike, your right, I guess I could put down why...I am planning an Alaska hunt about 3 seasons out, and I want a solid round to use on bear and moose. I currently have 7mm rem mag and 300 win mag. Like both alot, but I want more knock down mainly for the bear part of the hunt. I was originally think 338 mag or 375 h&h, leaning to the 375 h&h when I started read about the 375 rem um. It appears to have good knock down and is realitivly flat out to @300 yds . Ber, thanks for the CZ 550 idea, any idea what your smith would charge?? Thanks again dd2b

Daddy2B8162, I suppose the cost is the same for rechamber a CZ .458 Win Mag into .458 Lott. Between 350 to 500$ (depends on smith). CZ action is one of the best action through the world, it is a real big action. In this forum there are some gunsmith (retired or in activity) may be you can deal with one of these to do the job. As I live in Belgium it is impossble for me. ------------------
