I shoot a 458 Lott with 500 gr. bullet for the first time yesterday...and MAN that was...lets say very stimulating ! The rifle was a CZ safari with classic Bavarian stock, great looking rifle. And the worst part is; now I really want to buy a big bore to complete my battery and I have absolutely no use for a big bore Smiler

Damn...the only thing I can think of right now is to get a 458 Lott or a 416 Rigby....the recoil of the Lott is quit heavy or is it something that one gets used to bewildered ?

What do you mean you have no use for one? They'll work on everything including seals and puffins. I use mine for rabbits.

As far as recoil is concerned; yes, you do get used to it. I shoot mine off the bench with no problem; the cushy CZ recoil pad really helps. The benefits are that it clears your sinuses and after you've shot one a bit, little bitty guns like a 300 Winchester Magnum or 375 H&H Magnum will have recoil you'll compare to cotton fluff.

Hi, Ingvar J. Kristjansson:

If you want a full 458 and I base on what I read buy a 458 Express. This cartridge does the same job as 458 Lott, but with less pressure on chamber. I have a 458 Lott and if I were in the United States, where everything related to weapons is easier and cheaper to that in Spain I not hesitate recharber my Lott to 458 Express.

Oscar.

Ég leyndarmál mitt, ég nota Google þýðandi jejeej. Ekki ómögulegt, er tungumál mjög flókið.

Kveðjur,

Hi,

Your language is really difficult, but Spanish is pretty easy. On the rifle I have a Safari Magnum 550 Ceska and unfortunately I have not fired him. I have no budget to hunt anywhere in this caliber is needed, but I am a big fan of heavy weapons.

Greetings,

Oscar.
