Does it use the same mounts as the Interarms/Whitworth rifles?

If so, Leupold makes, or well they did at one time, make their throw lever mounts.
They were two piece for the Mausers.
I have use them on a 375 and a 458 Whitworth as well as on Rem 700's and Weatherbys over the years and they worked great, going back to zero.

Leupold does indeed make the QR mounts (with the small lever) for the Remington 798.

On a rifle with the recoil of a 458 I like steel bases and rings.

I ordered mine from Midway. Bases were part #743460 and rings were #501922. Hope that helps.

I'm pretty sure they use the same bases as the FN, Whitworth, its a mauser for all practical purposes..email Talley they will tell you...

If all else fails any good metal smith can custom make you bases for not much money.

450 no.2,
with all respect I don't believe steel mounts are any stronger than the good aluminum they use today, the 6x48 screws will pop before the mount bases show damage..If you use 8/40s torxs with either aluminum or steel your in good shape, that is where mounts fail IMO..

Almost very PH in Africa and many guides on the NA continent have use Weaver mounts and most have old Weaver scopes, they have for years..

Only recently I have gone back to using them more and more, mostly because they are not so thick that they block my irons sights and I found out they return to Zero as well as those high dollar rings and bases I have been using for years if you keep the slots in the same position as they were in when you took them off so I tighten them to almost tight as I can to horizontal. they work and they keep on trucking.
