If you are going to build a BIG stock on a p14/17, you have 3 choices, with only 2 being published in timney.

You have the 5 shot(straightened bottom metal) and 6 shot, unstraightened. And, if you are going to build it

But, if you write/call you can get a longer trigger, with an interesting name (guess) for a big stocked enfield!!!

I'll let you know how it goes, but I think this will be the final touch that lets me have a 4 DOWN 500 jeffe-ry

Any more insight on this is greatly appreciated, if you want to send a pm or e-mail that would be great. I haven't figured out what I'll do for the bottom metal on my 500 Jeffrey p-14, and want to know all the options out there.

Dan,
it's the "A square" trigger... and I always wondered how they put a trigger in that huge stock..

I'll let ya know how it goes, they say it's a quick turnaround

Jeff,

The Canjar is actually smaller than the trigger used in the A-Sq. If I catch your meaning.

When I was filling in areas where the trigger had been it surprised me how much wood was removed to make room for it.

Roger,
I hadn't thought about a canjar,on this one. The issue I was trying to solve was how to have a good sized trigger in my deep stock. I wrote timney, they had a 'no big deal, we've been there done that' and helpful attitude.

Can you imagine a set trigger on a 500j? I think PC's 602 is a set trigger on his 585... How about it, PC?
