I am looking for a middle of the road (+/- 2000 fps)load for my 416 Rigby Ruger #1 for a 300 grain semi-spitzer bullet. Can anyone here offer me their experience?
Thanks

That's a squib load more along the lines of XMR-5744 for 350-grainer SPEERs or cast bullets. ACCURATE data says 55 grains, which is what I used in my CZ 550 Safari Magnum.

Eskimo: 50 grains XMP5744 and the RCBS 350- gas-checked cast bullet are good for right at 2000, accurate and pleasant plinker/hunter.
