Has anyone tried a Trigicon (spelling)scope on heavy rifle, 458 win? Will they stand up to the recoil?
thanks

I had one on a Ruger #1 in 358STA and it did not like the recoil. The scope didn't fall apart but it would not hold zero shot to shot.

Thanks for the information Joe. I guess I will stick with the Luepold.

Don't overlook the Burris Black Diamond. I have both them and Leupold and both are excellent. I bought another 458 a few months back and I searched high and low for a Leupold 3X with a heavy duplex. Thats just about the best 458 scope I can think of.

Here's a pic of the rig. I used medium Burris Signature rings because I am tall and tend to like a scope a bit higher than most do.

The Nikon DGR scope is another option. Mine has been great on a .416 Rigby.
