Has anyone tried a Trigicon (spelling)scope on heavy rifle, 458 win? Will they stand up to the recoil? thanks

I had one on a Ruger #1 in 358STA and it did not like the recoil. The scope didn't fall apart but it would not hold zero shot to shot. Joe "I can't be over gunned because the animal can't be over dead"-Elmer Keith

Thanks for the information Joe. I guess I will stick with the Luepold.

Don't overlook the Burris Black Diamond. I have both them and Leupold and both are excellent. I bought another 458 a few months back and I searched high and low for a Leupold 3X with a heavy duplex. Thats just about the best 458 scope I can think of. Here's a pic of the rig. I used medium Burris Signature rings because I am tall and tend to like a scope a bit higher than most do. The Nikon DGR scope is another option. Mine has been great on a .416 Rigby.
