citoriBonus Money burning a hole in my pocket.
Just got my bonus and thinking of being nice to myself. Should I get a Remington 700 varmint rig to use for target work and coyotes (if I should ever hunt them)? Or should I go with a cz550 in .458 Lott that I may never get to African again to use? In the absence of a real need these decisions are hard. BTW I've got the Remington in .223 and the CZ in .375 H&H. That makes the decision harder. Or maybe that Marlin .45-70 cowboy.............

citoriThey have a Ruger as well but it's $2000 vs. $1000 for the cz. I can see $1000 for something I don't need but $2000 would get the wife's attention!
Marlin not Spartan.

Sadly I have the money. Time is scarce. Don't get me going about working like a dog! I turned 50 this year and I'm spending too much time thinking about trips never taken and the fact that they may never happen. In Illinois no big game hunting is a short trip.

No question - the Lott! You already have a "small" and a "medium" might as well add a "large" to the mix!

Spend it. With the .gov printing presses going 24/7 printing 'bailout bucks", inflation will render his bonus chump change within a year or so. Buy a rifle now or a box of ammo later.
