I just purchased a 375 RUM in a Rem LSS 26" Barrel. I love how this gun shoots. Does anybody have some ideas on good RL 22 or RL 25 loads with 300 gr A-Frame bullets. If so please let me know. I would like to see more discussions on this caliber.

375 RUM SAAMI max 65,000 psi
Lyman 48th addition p. 276
IMR 7828
300 gr Swift A-frame
Fed 215
R22 85 grs 2638 fps 50,000 psi
R22 92 grs 2820 fps 59,500 psi

I have the same rifle and most of the loads listed in the above source are right on for the 375 RUM. Most of these loads are 5000 psi below max, and this is a good idea as the extra power does nothing good in a hunting application and the recoil goes up sharply when you stuff in the last few grains. For example, Sierra lists their 300 gr game king at 2950 fps with R22 and it is not comfortable to shoot. Think of the top pressure loads as a 378 Weatherby, because that's what comes out the end of the bbl.

I loaded up some 300 gr A-Frame with 97 grains of RL 22 and shot them. They shoot okay but it kicks alot more than the 90 grains I tried. Thanks for the info I am going to load up some tonight at 85 grains and try them
