buckstixWell, back from the range today ... although many are skeptical about this cartridge. I once again proved that you can get a 2400+ fps with the 11.2x72 Schuler cartridge.

wheleniteHow was the recoil with that very droppy stock? Did it punch your cheek?

Stock design made recoil straight back - never touched my cheek. But, recoil was severe in such a light rifle weighing only 8-3/4 pounds. By comparison, the Immman/Muller weighs 11 pounds and its recoil is very tolerable with the same 2400+ fps load.

theback40I'm quite sure in Hatari times, Harold Wolf did an article on the 11.2x72, and a picture of a rifle just like yours.

Yes, it was issue no. 11 --- and at the end of the article it shows a picture of a "Jansen/Schuler" export rifle.
