I have a friend that has a Westley Richards rifle. It is a 458 Win on a mauser action. The rifle does not have a drop box magazine and no cross bolts. It may not have a barrel recoil block because there is no screw in the fore end. It has 458 in gold on the barrel and Westley Richards. It looks like a French walnut stock with a horn or ebony fore end tip fitted with an old english pad. It has an island rear sight with one folding leaf and a hooded banded front sight. He is considering selling but neither of us would know the worth of the rifle. Any information would be appreciated. The rifle looks new. Thanks, Terry
Noone can value that rifle based on your description without seeing the gun..My suggestion is for you to contact Bob Francis at Westly Richards, 417-869-8447, tell him I said hi.
