Just wondered if anybody has tried these. I was thinking of getting some from Wayne Doudna for a 416 Rigby.
Where should I start? Powders--XMP5744??
Thanks,
Mark.

300H&H. Do a search on my number (267 I believe). I posted the results of my search for a cast bullet load. After much fruitless searching in Jacksonville, I could not find any of the XMP powder. I used burn rate charts and settled on a load using VV N130, just because I had some on hand. I used the gaschecked 435 gr. bullets. I have a 416 Rigby, but developed the load for my 500/416. All my loads for the 416 Rigby and the 500/416 are very close, almost interchangeable.
I was looking for a "practice" load so did not want anything too "hot". The load I settled on gave me around 1700fps. as I recollect. Out of my double, the loads are quite accurate, but do shoot a bit low ie. lower than my full house jacketed bullets.
Peter.

I found the info. I think I can get some XMP out here but the shop I go to doesn't have a distributor for VV anymore so I guess I'll give the XMP a try.
thanks for the help.
