I think RL 15 is a very good powder for the 375 H&H Mag. I'm also partial to Federal 215M primers and, if I can't get those, CCI 250 primers.

As far as bullets go, I'm not real big into premium bullets for all applications. In my 375 H&H Mag., I use Hornady 300 gr. RN solids and Hornady 300 gr. BTSP bullets. These group about the same place at 100 yards and give good accuracy.

These two loads work for me in my Winchester:
Nosler 260 grn Partition - 76 grains of IMR 4350 - Rem 9 1/2M - 2700 fps
Barnes 300 TSX - 67.5 grains IMR4064 - Rem 9 1/2M - 2498 fps

RL-15, IMR-4064, IMR-4350, lots of good powders for the .375...

If you are wanting a dangerous game load stay with the 300 gr. or 350 gr. bullets..I like Woodleighs, GS Customs, and the heavy Noslers...

For plainsgame the 270 gr. bullets work well..

In my CZ 550:
71.0 grains of RL15 and Nosler 300 grain Partition,
76 grains of RL 15 and GS Custom 270 grain FN.
Both 1/2 inch 3 shot groups.
In a different rifle (Blaser),
76 grains of IMR 4350 and 260 grain Nosler Partition gave 1" 3 shot groups.

My Win M70 SS Classic likes 68.0 gr of RL-15 fired by Fed 215s pushing a 300 gr TSX at 2604 fps.

Has been very effective on game producing beautiful mushrooms.

This rifle seems to be a bit "tight" in that it takes a relatively light charge to get lots of velocity. Nonetheless ... take everyone's recipes with a grain of salt; start low and workup carefully.

RL15 is hard to beat, I haven't tried it yet, but Ramshot Big Game should work well too. Mine is like mstarling, some load 71-72 grains with a 300 grain. 67-68 is plenty for mine with RL15 and a 300 grain bullet.

Ditto on the R-15, I use 68 grains with 300 grain bullets.

I've done a lot of thinking about the best accurate round you can get you a 375 H&H, which may not be the best hunting round...

First of all, I only use Vithavuori powers at this point: Primarily N140 and N540

They are pure double based powders and they leave basically no residue behind. In addition they burn so cleanly that there is no smoke at all, and no flames that shoot from the bore.

Now, as for the round, I'm tried MANY different bullets:

Speer 253Gr SP
Sierra 250Gr SPBT
Nosler 260Gr Baltic Tip / Accubond
GS Custom 265Gr HV [solid copper high BC]
Nosler Partition 300Gr Spitzer
Nosler/Winchester 270Gr Comined Technology Fail Safe (Partition w/ steel cap in bottom)
Nosler/Winchester 300Gr Comined Technology Fail Safe (Partition w/ steel cap in bottom)
Hornady 300Gr BTSP

The 235Gr rounds are not accurate a distances over 100 yards. No idea why.

All of the boat tail type rounds perform well at distance, but the Nosler polycarbinate ballistic type works very well.

The GS Custom bullet is FANTASIC at distance. I've been able to get about a 4.5inch group at a little under 600 yards with it. However, you need to load them hot to get them to work properly, and that means a lot of N540 [70Grs].

The Combined Technology rounds were odd... I found that the 300Grs groups horribly, but the 270Gr rounds were great. No idea why this was, as they were reloaded at the same time using the same equipment, etc. This shoundly matter as I don't think you can get them anymore.

Basically, you can start reloading with any 375H&H round by using the middle of the power recommendation and working up. I highly recommend that you go to the powder manufacturer's website and look up the common loads for common bullets. I tend to purchase the reloading manuals...

It's also very helpful to have an automatic electronic powder measure.
