Not exactly an answer to your question, but they restocked one of mine and it is beautiful. I would definately have them do another for me. RC Repeal the Hughes Amendment.

This was not built by serengheti but is a MRC 1999 action and the stock is the Serengheti pattern. The stock design is comfortable and comes up well but I would probably modify it if I had it to do over as the drop at the comb nose is greater than at the heel (the comb angles upwards as it moves toward the butt) which looks a bit strange and fits different than my other rifles. I have looked at many of the laminate stocks that they produce and they are often beautiful. Jay Kolbe

Action--$400 Barrel (Lilja)-$250 Stock (wood)-$200 Turning-$100 Sights-$150 Smith work/bluing (D. Olson)-$400 So, $1500 all up. Seems high but, thems the numbers. What's Serengheti asking for a similar rifle? BTW, my stock is not laminated. Jay Kolbe

I had them build me a rifle on a pre-64 model 70 barreled by Shilen in 458 Win. Serengeti put on New England express sights, blued the receiver and barrel and stocked it in AAA walnut. They did a great job on it.
