Well, I got ahold of a 10 gauge sXs (spanish not destroying some beautiful work of art ok) for my double rifle project. Not a H & H thats for sure, but it's big and beefy. I posted a pic of it, hope it works. Also got a 12 ga in case this first one turns out ok. I've got the book about converting them into rifles, good info. I've been making a monoblock out of A6 tool steel,25 hours into it and I subtracted .050 instead of adding it and made it too short hinge pin to standing breech. I'll chalk it up to learning experience, cut blocks for 2 new ones yesterday. I was wondering why the monoblock should fit tightly to the standing breech but have a few thousandths clearance between the monoblock and the water table. Anyone care to enlighten me. And I'm trying to get some idea of barrel profiles for doubles. So if any of those who are fortunate enough to own a 450 No 2 or a 470 would like to measure their barrels I'd be greatly thankful. Or email or pm me if you'd rather. I'll probably have a few more questions later so I hope you'll bear with me. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Looks like you've exceeded your pic limit. You might look into a different place to post them at. I'd love to see pics of your monoblock work. email them to me if you get a chance. I'm thinking that the 10ga action would be big enough for a 577.
