Has anyone here heard any negatives with the Mauser MO3.
How does the cocking lever hold up, any breakages. How about the spring setup in the manual cocking system?

Thanks Smiler

I'm quite impressed with it. thumb
Similar, but up graded features of the Blaser R93 but with a more standard bolt system.

I've handled one and I am so impressed I have one on order. After all a man can never have too many 404 Jeffery rifles.

Contact Tip Burns at Canyon Sporting Arms (http://www.canyonsportingarms.com/), his son works for the importer in San Antonio and Tip sells them. I'm sure he could tell you if they are going to be discontinued. By the way, they are beautiful rifles ans slicker than snot on a brass doorknob. Unlike the R93, they even look like a rifle.

I like them also. In fact I recently bought an Arabesque combi rifle, 375 H&H and 300 Win Mag, over the internet. Upon arrival, the package looked like it has been run over by a dump truck,...and the stock was three pieces. So I am back in the market for an M03.

I'd rather a 404, but I can live with a 375.

The one I have seen is a fine piece, it was a 375 and felt well balanced and well finished. I don't know of anyone who owns one, but I haven't heard of any failures in the rumor mill. Of course the best reason to own one is to rub it in the face of DG rifle snobs that even Mauser dropped CRF. sofa

I'm getting mine from Tip Burns as well!

As far as changes, I think you may be refering to the Model 03 Light they are introducing this year. The action is made of high impact, Dural aluminium alloy, which reduces the weight of this component by approximately 1 lbs.

Not changing the 03 just another model.
