This may be a dumb question, but can anyone tell me the difference between the .450 Dakota, and the .450 Rigby. They look to be the same round to me. | ||

Tyler, As noted they are very similar, both can be described as .458" cartridges based on modifications of the .416 Rigby case. A-Square did the development work on the Dakota and actually based the cartridge on the A-Square Excalibur case. It and the Rigby case have small dimensional differences. When the bullet clears the muzzle though, there is essentially no difference. jim dodd | |||
