Just recently bought this rifle and decided to buy a Nikon Monarch 3 2-8x32 scope and was thinking of using Leupold QR mounts. It's in 460Wby and hopefully the scope will hold up

I have an unfired Wby DGR in 458 Win Mag for $1,695 if anyone wants one. It was part of a trade deal, but I already have too many big bore rifles.

The scope is a great one, but the .460 Wby. will be a real test for it. Fortunately, Nikon WILL fix it free if it fails.

The recoil velocity of that round is high (almost as high as the king of scope-wreckers, the .378 Wby.).

Excellent choice of scope. You wont be sending it back because it may be the strongest of all scopes on the market.

The 2 is low enough for follow up and the 8 is great for 200-300 yard plains game
