Among the bunch are:

CEB #13 solid and non-con, GSC FN, AHR X-bullet, Macifej SHARRC, Woodleigh soft, RGB copper bore rider, RGB Crayola-tip, Barnes BBS and a .416 Speer AGS Tungsten and .458 Hornady DGX.

In one photo is a 30-06 case and the photo with a case sleeping inside the 600NE brass - that is a 450 Marlin.









Now I just have to load them all up.

Don't have the 600NE yet but I do have a 600OK that will love these bullets all the same.

The comparison of 620 to 416 is almost identical to 458 compared to 308 bore size.

I thought I would just mention that because some people think 416 and 620 are just big borese and thus in the same class.

Do you recollect the impact velocities with these bullets? I'm presuming they're pictured slowest (left) to fastest (right) in sequence in the picture?

You're correct on the sequence.I'd have to check my notes on the velocities as we shot these four years ago. IIRC, it was approx. 1,900 fps to about 2,200 fps. The bullets weighed 800 grains before firing.

Very nice expansion at 1900fps...though with this diameter bullet it doesn't need to expand to be larger than most hunting bullets post expansion.

Our idea was to keep it from expanding too much, just get the petals to turn out without folding back along the shank, because it doesn't need to. What a buzz-saw going through meat and bone.

I must say though, that we have had some split all the way down the middle into four pieces. Four pieces at 200 grains apiece. I believe the cause was the copper being too hard and brittle, not enough softening during the annealing process.

My dad and I used Wayne's AHR X-Bullets in the 600 OverKill and 585 AHR to great effect on Cape buffalo.

Always remember a .620 bullet is what a .458 hopes to become on full expansion!

If you drive a 5/8 hole through anything that involves Plumbing or dense structure, it will die!
