I FOUND YESTERDAY WHILE SHOOTING MY .458 LOTT MODEL 70 WIN WITH A 1-4 TRIJICON, THAT THE POI IS DIFFERENT AT 1X THAN 4X. ZERO AT 4X IS 1.5" LEFT AND 3" LOW AT 1X. I HAVE NEVER ENCOUNTERED THIS DISCREPANCY IN THE PAST. ANOTHER QUESTION IS WHICH POWER TO SET IT ON FOR BUFF IN AUGUST IN THE SAVE IN ZIM. THANKS FOR THE COMMENTS.

If the scope is moving POI with a power change then you need to send it back to the manufacturer-there is no way a modern scope should do that. SSR

Take your 'caps lock' off. It is considered yelling. George

Good point, George, but if I was 3 months out from a buffalo hunt and had a scope go haywire, I'd be yelling too. Actually, that happened to me right before a trip this past March and the Lott just stayed home. I haven't replaced the scope yet. Still trying to decide on the make and model. However, that's why I carry two scopes with detachable mounts for my main rifle. Even if it happens in Africa, I'm covered.
