Does anyone make an aftermarket front sight for the cz 550? I know some have converted the New England front sights to fit but I'm not so inclined. I don't trust my filing/Dremel skills. I'd love to find a bigger, brighter front bead. An assortment of heights would be great too.

take your CZ front site out and read the number on the bottom.

the max height is .289, and that's a number 14... it's like .009 per number.

the bead doesnt change, though.

necg says all their masterpiece sites can be modified to fit, including the fiberoptic one...

changing it is pretty easy... bandsaw and drillpress, NOT dremel,,, drill a hole at the right distance from the front, cut it off the the right length (go a little long) and finish fit...

you CAN tap the necg into the site to test for height

A lotta work.....CZ-USA sells the front sights, numbers 1 to 14. My 550 in 9.3 x 62 came with #14, so I ordered #1, #5, and #10 to give some latitude for sighting with differing bullet weights and load intensities.
