If you had your choise wich one would you get blued or stainless

I was thinking about the stainless but got to thinking the stainless on that rifle is quite shiny and highly polished. I would think that I would be better off with a nice blued barrel and walnut stock.

so wich one would you choose.

I dont mind stainless barrels, but I generaly keep my actions CrMo. I have a few R#-1s and only one is all stainless.

Blued looks much better. Stainless is great, but it just doesn't look right.

I would buy a beginner's book on English grammar, BPBB. It would waste less of daddy's money and hopefully do you some good.

What is so "great" about stainless?

I got a Ruger No. 1 458 Lott in stainless which I like a lot. It is just a matter of personal taste to choose between blue steel versus stainless steel. Some experts here will tell you that stainless will gall and such and such which is simply not entirely true. I have had many stainless firearms including some of the tightest tolerance guns ever made and have had zero galling problems with any of them. However, I don't believe that you can get a blue 458 Lott Ruger No. 1 from Ruger. Good luck.

No problems at all to hunt with a brigtly polished stainless gun. It depends on which region you hunt in, it is an advantage to hunt with a bright stainless gun in a snowy land.
