Would this be a good bullet for Namibian planes game?
Biggest will be mountain zebra and perhaps kudu.
Rifle is Ruger Hawkeye in 375 Ruger.
No American powders available (exept a box of IMR4350), only Norma and Vihtavouri.

It would be an excellent bullet for african plains game. I can tell you that from experience.

I have yet to use any Nosler Accubonds in the field. Not happy with the way the smaller calibers test out, but all the medium bores from 338--9.3 look very good. Very suitable for all plains game.

I was on a plans game hunt in 2007 and one of my fellow hunters was using 260 grain AB in a 375 H&H. It was very effective. I watched through 8 power glasses when he pulled the trigger on a Gemsbuck at 200 yards. What I thought was red dust was actually blood exploding out the far side. Dropped on the spot. His best shot was almost 300 yards at a Red Hartebeest facing us. He shot it in the chest between the front legs. It dropped on the spot and it looked like some one had pour a bucket of blood on the ground.

Hi Michael, Army Aviator (Apaches?),

The 9,3 and .375 Accubonds are the cat's ass. Just like any cup and core bullet, try not to take on big shoulder or pelvic girdle bones. They are accurate, but do not tend to do the exploding bullet trick inside the boiler room.
