I would go with the swift A frame, nosler partition and I have also had good results with the 300 gr Northforks, use the hornadys to break your barrel in. I have lots of loading data for this caliber, email me if you are interested.

Dan,I think you will find that the 375rum will tear up a Hornady on larger game.
I would recomend a premium bullet (Barnes Nosler etc.)
I broke in my new 375rum yesterday with 300g spbt Hornadys. My load was 100 grains of imr7828 (velocity was 2780 fps). My shoulder is well broken in now.
The remington went right past my PAST recoil shield. I am in love again!! [Big Grin]

Dan, 94-95gr reloader 19 worked for me, also 91-92gr imr 4350 2700-2800fps. Look at steves pages for a lot of info on 375 ultra. Also do a search on this forum for 375 a few loads and threads to be found. I shot a deer with a 300 hornady rn and it had a golf ball sized exit hole after only hitting one rib.

Billy375 is right Dan. The Hornady will hold up well on deer sized game just fine. The new nosler balistic tip (260 grain) with its very thich jacket will work also. Siera`s 300 grian spbt has an unreal ballistic shape and is exceptionally accurate, however I have seen this bullet Fail miserably on bull moose at 225 yards. Three bullets in the vitals (mid lung) all produced little pin holes. Long tracking job, .338 250g nosler to the rescue.

My point is that I think that it is easy to shoot these bullets out of there performance range. Sad lessons learned the hard way. [Frown]

Dan,
You won't find it in the loading books but you can
get reloader 25 to perform some majic with a 300 grain bullet. I won't tell you how fast or how much but 103 grains is a good starting load.
Watch your chrono and smile. [Big Grin]
The 270 and 300 grain Barnes X bullets should really come alive with this powder.

I love this crap. [Big Grin]
