Ok guys how long should I make the barrel on my new 375 ultra mag? 24,25,or 26.
I hope to use this on DG such as buffs and maybe some day a griz.

Plan on using 300 gr tsx and some type of solid
probaly the 300 gr banded from barnes.

I went with a 26" barrel on mine...provides a little extra velocity and I happen to like longer barrels. If it was primarily for DG then I would go with a 24" just to make it slightly more mobile should things get ugly.

I personally would go with 23 inches, that animal will not feel the difference in 100-150 feet per second, and if you are hunting in thick stuff in Alaska or Africa you will quickly notice the handling difference in a 23 inch barrel compared to a 26 inch barrel.

I looking at 25 right now but still flip floping.
