I have been pondering unloading it for some time now.. Left Hand Sako AV, Leupold 2-5, recoil reducer in stock. I'll likely never use it to hunt with again but I am having a hard time letting go of it.
It is arguably the most accurate rifle I own, even above my heavy barreled, over scoped guns and will consistently deliver 1/2" groups with the Speer 285 gr sp and W760.

So I've been thinking of dumping it again... what would this rifle bring these days? I don't see many AV's for sale and even fewer in Left Hand.

Thanks

Go to gunsinternational.com

There is a left hand AV 375 H&H for sale for $1,199.

You can compare your particular gun to the one for sale.

There are some other AV 375's for sale but I believe they are all right hand.

Yep, your main problem is being left handed, that knocks the price as your clientele list is much smaller..

Plenty of lefty shooters, just takes a bit longer to sell. And lefty shooters are always looking because the guns are in short supply.

Also a lot less rifles.

Over many many years the two calibre rifles I have sold the most of or had someone sell for me are the 270 and 375. Might be different in America but for me the 375s have always sold the fastest and at the best price a compared to original price. I can tell for 100% sure that the 270 is vastly more common in Australia than the 375.

Thanks to all that replied..

I'm thinking $1,000 shipped to anywhere in the lower 48 is reasonable and you guys confirmed that for me.

I'm still struggling with letting go of it.. I'll have a chat with my kids and then will decide.. When it does go, I'll offer it here to AR members before it goes to GB or anywhere else.

Thanks again!

You may have your mind set, but have you considered using ammunition that is not full power/heavy bullet loads? The 375 is a very practical cartridge and has potential to be loaded light for everything from deer to squirrels and upward to African game and everything in between?

I'm no expert in market matters but, since l/h shooters have less choice, if you're in no hurry you might actually get more money for it when the right dude comes along.

Ray, yes I have. But I have plenty of other rifles suitable for whatever I decide to hunt.. Downloading the 375 is just an excuse to keep it.. its a tough decision!!
