Rick RNice looking rifle, bet it handles well too.
Wood is warm and has personality. But you got to wonder if the explorers of olde had the choice to use a rifle with a wood stock or a synth stock that was stable in all weather and less prone to cracking or damage which one would have gone with them for months into the wild.

BuliwyfI like it! Love the matte finish and safari green stock. Is it a .500 Jeffery chambering or the .500 Schuler Jumbo (12.7x70)?
Well done!

BuliwyfMost Dear Dr. B:
You reap what you sow. You my dear friend are a JO. You tread on Classics like Rigby, Westley Richards and make fun of people that love that rifle classic part of Africa. I know that you are laughing now you MF. But, my dear Dr. B, the laugh is on you. You think you are smarter than the designers before us, but you are just another MF pretender. You have little to no field experience and make a joke of your profession. I guess you are one step ahead of mal-practice lawsuits or run out of town for the behavior we see here on AR. How many US states do you have left before you you bring your plauge on other nations?

Yes the little guy's finger above represents Bullwhiffs IQ, a single digit.
Bullwhiff,
My field experience far exceeds yours, I am sure.
If you don't watch out, you will be the sole occupant of my ignore list.
shootaway makes more sense and speaks more truth than you do.
I can imagine you foaming at the mouth every time you champion the 425 WR.
What an ugly duckling.
Perfect for an odd duck like you.

gumboot458I,ve found the ignore list is very nice . It,s like caller ID , What fun

Chuck,
Just the standard stuff here that DRG selects for the smiley menu.
The "Bullwhiff IQ smiley"

is relatively new,
meant primarily for use on the political crater.
The selection changes now and then.
You probably just had not noticed that one yet.

Its a standard Military K 98 action build by CZ.
The barrel was made by South African company called Truvelo. They also did most of the metal work but I am very disappointed with their work quality. I have another gunsmith working on correcting the problems.
Next project on the rifle is to build a extended magazine to hold 4 rounds.
The stock was build by local stock manufacturer called Armtec.

chuck375It looks like an excellent rifle Gerhard. My 500 Jeffrey conversion has had it's hiccups also (as you know), but all is well now at no additional cost to me, so I have only good things about the gunsmith. It functions (feed and extracts) well and so far has shown excellent accuracy potential (I'm still in load development). I like your idea about a 4 round magazine, but first I'm going to kill a few things with it.
Best of luck with your new rifle,
Chuck
