been a bit since i have been here but near the end of the last time i purchased a ruger m-77 barrel in 458 win mag from someone here...[forgot who]...but finally got it mounted on my hawkey action. man what a shooter...this barrel dosnt shoot cast worth a hoot and paperpatch do a ton better with both smokless and blackpowder... but the hornaday 350's like a house afire. im loading an easy load of 64 grains of imr 4064 with a fed mag primer...very nice load and super accurate.

anyway i just wanted to say thankyou to the generous man that sold me this barrel. this rifle is just a hoot to shoot and very pointable to boot.

no pictures yet but the barrel is the factory length of 25 inch. the contour is still factory as well as i want some weight for the rifle as the rest of it is pretty lite. still laces my shoulder pretty good when i load her up with some hotter paperpatch loads of imr4064 but the blackpowder loads are fun and seem very accurate.
