Has anyone tried one of the Beretta type recoil reducers that they use on their new A400 shotgun, on a big bore? It is a spring loaded, softer rubber type pad. Thanks

Knoxx makes a rifle stock with a spring set up. Haven't really seen much talk about them here, but apparently their shotgun stocks work well, so I assume the rifle ones do as well If you think every possible niche has been filled already, thank a wildcatter!

I have a " Knoxx Stock " on my Rem 870. You really can't tell the difference with regular 2 3/4 inch shot/slugs.. But it's a very noticeable reduction, in felt recoil, using 3" Mag loads. I have a Knoxx stock on my 375 Ruger. It is a Winchester Model 70 win mag action rebarreled to 375 Ruger with a #5 contour Pac-Nor 3 groove finished at 24" It is a well made stock That one pic where the butt is on the concrete is with my weight on it to depress the sping action. The action fit right in perfectly with no modification. It is shooting an inch at 200 yards so I probably won't even do any bedding work on it. I have an IOR 6x42 on it which has a listed eye relief of 4". That is not quite enough. Plan on getting a Bushnell 6500 Elite 1.25x8x32 which supposedly has a 6" eye relief. Other than the scope coming back the setup is great. It does help tame the recoil. I have no muzzle brake and the rifle is 10 1/2 pounds all loaded up. Shooting a 270 gr TSX at 2850 fps recoils about like a 300 or 338 win mag with no muzzle brake in a 8.5 pound rifle. ____________________________________ There are those who would misteach us that to stick in a rut is consistency - and a virtue, and that to climb out of the rut is inconsistency - and a vice. - Mark Twain | Chinese Proverb: When someone shares something of value with you and you benefit from it, you have a moral obligation to share it with others. ___________________________________
