So I picked up a 375 ruger here. I've shot it a few times. Definitely lack luster. I'm wanting a 375 ultralight and had plans to send this one out for an MPI stock and a re-contour. Out of pateince and I think I'd like a new barrel anyway. That said, what is the lightest contour I can get preserving accuracy? Who would you order from?

It might help to know what was "lack luster" about the Rugers performance that you hope to solve with a lighter contour barrel and why is it you are "out of patience"?

In the meantime I'll address the barrel contour.
I recently sent my Win M70 Classic Stainless in 375 H&H to get the heavy barrel turned down. The rifle was pin point accurate but heavy and I thought I would hunt with this rifle more if it weighed less. After a lot of research I picked .625" as the thinnest profile I'll go with, this leaves .125" on either side of the bore which seems to be the safe consensus. .625" is also the muzzle diameter of the Win M70 Alaskan which is the thinnest factory contour of any .375's I could find in my research.
Whether or not this will be "the lightest contour you can get preserving accuracy" remains to be seen.
On other rifles I have some very slim contours and they really shoot small groups and others would say you can't shoot tiny groups with ultra light barrels but these do. Of the 4 of my lightest contour barrels they are Pac Nor (2), Lilja and Bartlein. Any of these and many other barrel makers would be fine.
When I get my 375 back I will run it through its paces and see what it is capable of.

Easy: No. 3 Douglas Sporter contour or equivalent that is 0.625" diameter at the 24" length of muzzle from breech.
It will be a little thicker at the muzzle if you cut it shorter, and that won't hurt accuracy.
My .375 H&H with that barrel was capable of 0.5 MOA for three shots at 100 yards, handloaded.
You will also need a very light stock if you use a barrel that light.

I agree with Rip, a no. 3 Douglas is what your after and cut at any length you like..I like a .375 to weigh 8.75 to 9 Lbs max with scope, loaded and sling..Its still nice undressed and shooting iron sights as far as Im concerned.
