I haven't emailed Jeff and folks at MRC lately and figure someone here must have, so just looking to find out the latest.

I still haven't decided what it will be ultimately, but the choices now are:
1. Ed Hubel's 585 BHE - but am waiting to hear about how well this long cartridge feeds. Gotta be 100% reliable 100% of the time as it would be coming to Africa;

2. Boomstick's 577 BME - my number one choice for many reasons, though no longer seems viable;

3. 600 OK necked down to .510 and called the .495AHR - would address the "over .50" B.S. at least in designation, has been done in one form or another by Fritz454 and RGB and would be pretty cool IMO (and fit into the .600OK family of cartridges I have already).

Oh, if anyone is interested in this last idea, let Ed Plummer and Bitterroot at AHR know

I just worry about you - I feel I have to keep you guys busy else you'll have too much free time and you know what they say about idle hands ...

MRC called me Tuesday and said the PH actions will be shipping next month and into Sept.

Guess you'll have something else to be creating. I think the .495PCY er... uh... ah... I mean the .495AHR on the MRC PH action will be keeping you busy next I should be barbequing pork ribs by then

Doc- 3 deaths in family in few days got me busy.
I will have pics of the action with my 585 cases
in magazine well in couple days.Will work single stack fine
the BBK Ultramag, setup like Wea does the 460.And the PH
is longer and will set up easier. Case is like 505
as far as length and feeding.Ed
