Dies for a 450 Watts
I now have a 450 Watts on layaway. It is my understanding that the Watts chamber is 2.85 inches long while the Lott chamber is 2.8 inches long.

If I go with standard Lott Dies, can I load cases made to fit the full length Watts Chamber and vice versa, if a go with Watts dies can I load lott cases with them.

I am specifically thinking of the crimp dies such as a Lee Factory Crimp Die. I know the seating and sizing dies should be no problem.

The true measure of a hunters skill is not the size of the trophy but rather the length of the shot with the greater measure of skill being the shorter shot---Jeff Cooper

Look at www.groswildjagd.de/ballisti.htm.
It is in german, but shows how to calibrate .458 Lott or Watts with parallel neck ("gost shoulder") using modified .458 WinMag dies.
