EnigmaElite 3200 2-7 on my M70 375 H&H
Hello to you all!!!
I just came back from the range where I shot my best group to date with my Winchester Model 70 SS in 375 H&H. I bought, two days ago, a Bushnell Elite 3200 2-7x32 with a set of Leupold Rifleman rings that fit my Weaver bases. Since I do not own a boresighter, I proceeded to use the tried and true technique of looking down the barrel and aligning the crosshairs at 50 yards. I shot over 20 rounds this afternoon: R-R cases, WLRM primers, 74.5gr of RE-15, and Hornady 225gr SP. Let me state that this is a max load based on the Hornady latest reloading manual. I shot the best 4 shot group ever at a 100 yards with this rife. All four shots were touching and on top of one another... This is a factory Winchester Model 70 classic stainless with the original flexigrip-tupperware stock. The only mod on the stock is the installation of a better pachmayr recoil pad. I will post pictures of my rig and the target later today... that is, as soon as I find my digi cam

Bushnell states an eye relief of 3.0 inches but the measured eye relief on my setup is 4 inches without any problems. So far I'm very happy. Pictures to follow!
By the way, this is my only rifle. I used to own a Rem 700 ADL in 7mm Rem MAG and gave it to my best friend so that we could go moose hunting in 2003. 2003 was good, we harvested 2 moose
Happy shooting,
Maurice

EnigmaAnd here are the pictures...
You guys and girls can have a look at my setup at the same time... Lee Classic Cast press, Hornady Scale & powder trickler, Lee Dies, Lee Hand Priming tool.
I sure think I have a pretty rifle, some might disagree

Cheers,
Maurice

475GuyAs far as your rifle and your shooting, good going. As far as your reloading set-up is concerned, how the hell do you keep it so neat, huh?

MikelravyI have the same scope on a 338 and it is ok. Never tested the Rainguard feature that caused me to buy it in the first place. If you are only going to have one rifle that would be a good choice.

EnigmaIt is good to know that jeffeosso has one on his 416... I shoot between 30 and 50 rounds every week with my rifle so time will tell how long the scope will last

I am not to concerned since it has a lifetime warranty. I am thinking of getting a second one if this one holds up well.
Cheers

RiodotI have the same scope on a 9.3x62 - same situation - measures almost 4" of eye relief.

mustbhuntnI am afraid you are not going to be happy with that rifle. So just to help you out, I should buy it from you.

Nice set up and how do you keep your bench so clean?

EnigmaWell thanks everyone for the nice comments regarding my rifle. Sorry mustbhuntn but the gun is not for sale... I fell in love with it in 2003 and it will never leave this household. My offsprings will inherit it one day, when I croak

Now I thought my reloading bench was kind of messy to be honest with you all! What you can't see on the picture is a set of metal shelves to the right of the bench where I keep most my tools and components organized...
Cheers,
Maurice
