Shot the kodiak. It was late and cold but I managed to put 10 shots through it. I shot it at about 35 yards offhand at coke cans and hit the each time with both barrels. I was using remington 405gr loads. Recoil is about zero. I am going to pick up some hotter shells set up my bench and chrono and put it through the paces shortly ill post target pics and results.

My brother's Kodiak shot very good with Cor-Bon 350gr single shot pistol loads,velocity 1971fps. Garretts 415gr. Hammerheads, vel. 1734fps, and a reload with the 405 Rem SP and 53gr. of IMR3031 vel.1840.
He contacted the factory in Iraly and they stated that the Kodiak was rated for any load that was safe in a Marlin Lever action 45/70.
