HHMMMMM I want one. I,m keen on a 50 cal fun gun and the CZ is the best value option. When are you going to shoot it? Will it just be a fun gun or will it be for hunting? How many rounds does the magazine hold"

Nice looking rifle. A friend of mine has a 375 CZ, it shoots very good at 300 yards on paper, and even at 415 yards on steel.
Keep us posted on how she shoots.

Bed it, cross bolt it and fix the safety.

It sure is pretty to start with, though.

Nice big bore rifle!!!

Could you take some close up pictures of the bolt face and the magazine well for us? Just curious to see how they tackle the job! Thanks!

Thank you for the feed back. I do not have any ammo yet. The ammo is still on order with A-Square.

When I placed the order with CZ, I specifically asked for a 22 inch Barrel. I hate long barrels on DG rifles.

Cannot wait to shoot it. I eventually plan to reload some day.

How much did you pay for the rifle with the special optional 22" barrel and fancy wood ?

Cheers,

André

That is a beauty. After you shoot it a time or two and you want to sell it let us know. I might just need to take it. Wink

Although cartridge selection is important there is nothing that will substitute for proper first shot placement. Good hunting, "D"

I should have the ammo sometime next week.

By the way, what is everyone's opinion of CH4 reloading dies?
23 May 2005, 00:50
475Guy
CH4 dies are cheaply made and you can tell just at first glance. Quality control doesn't seem to be that good. I've never had problems with RCBS dies for all reloading. A few years ago, I had some issue with the sizing die on my 375 H&H and they made it right with a new one w/o charge. RCBS is pricey but you pays for what you gets. In your case, you may find a problem as far as availability, call Huntington's and find out.

RCBS dies are about $250 or so more than the CH4D dies. I bought a set of both in .505 and returned the RCBS dies, keeping the CH4D's. Did not see enough difference to justify the price for me, but every one is different

That is a great looking gun. I didn't see what was paid for the special 22" barrel - Does CZ have a price list for their custom shop?
