Can this rifle be converted from 44 mag to 480 Ruger? I realize than the factory magazine may not work, but are there other problems?

Thanks!

The downside of rotary magazines is they limit you to what can be done in terms of re-chambering. Going from a case the dia of the 44 to that of the 480 would require a new mag built from scratch, and there still might not be enough width to fit the 480.

As a big fan of the 480, I'd love to get one in a lever action. I'd even be content to see the Ruger #1 in the 45-70 style with the relatively slim 22" barrel chambered as a 480.

Thanks, I was afraid of that. Lever gun sounds good enough, but a tube fed semi would rock and roll!!
