| It should also be noted that you should have it well bedded before shooting it much-Brownings in all calibers have a tendancy to crack,espically in 458 and 375.I have a pair of Safari 22/250s and they both cracked.
Before buying,pull the barreled action out of the stock and check for internal cracks.Also check at the tang and trigger guard,and around the recoil lugs.Also look around for any rust or pitting-some salt guns don't break though for a lllloonnnggg time,so it always pays to be careful.I have an Olympian 270 that is a salt wood rifle.The salt didn't break through the finish for 30 years.Others broke through before they left the factory.
