I have a Ruger in 416 Rigby and a Trijicon Accupoint 1.25-4x 24. Unfortunately the scope is not "long enough" for the rifle/base: with the rear ring as far back as it can go on the scope, the front ring (if on the scope) is a few inches short of the base. Does Ruger or anybody offer an offset base so that this scope can be mounted on this rifle? (without having to mill a block of cold steel!!) Thanks Jas Jas Madhavan

Ruger factory offset rings are made. Try Brownells or Ruger. Blue or stainless.

Got my Ruger offset front base from Midway. I believe it matches a medium rear. Never follow a bad move with a stupid move.
