Since I haven't been able to get any magnum primers and reload 404j ammo, I ordered a couple of boxes from Midway. Has anyone crono'ed This ammo or tried it?

Terry,
I shot 10 rounds last weekend. No chrono used and no scope on the rifle. Just doing barrel break-in. All I can really tell you is that it all goes "bang" and I was getting minute of backstop with a 1" double ghost ring. The box says they are 2300 fps.

I'm in the same boat, but I bought just one box of solids. May go "chrono" them on some pigs. If they feel like a 416, then the box is right on with 2,300 fps.

Didn't get the kynoch cause 1950, fps sounded a bit girly. I'm looking for 2,200

I don't think you'll find any "girlies" at 2300 with the 404 Jeffery! Big Grin

I just got a box from Midway. I won't be able to chrono them until next week, but I'll post the data when I do.
