I have done a little bit of searching on AR and the net in general about this rifle, and can't find too much in the way of reviews or personal experience.

Anyone used/fired/repaired/rejected this rifle??

The reason I ask, is that I have seen them for $1300 (New Zealand) compared with a CZ 550 in the same calibre for a thousand dollars more. I know everyone rates the 550, and I like it too - but is the Savage a decent rifle? No immediate plans for DG, and could justify it to myself as a Sambar rifle maybe, but who knows??
