Hi I just bought a pound of N560 to try in my CZ 375 H&H with some 350g Woodleigh PPs. Anyone else using N560 with the 350g Woodleighs? I've worked up a load with H4350, and I have some load data for RL 19,

http://www.realguns.com/loads/375.htm

I though I'd start with 73g of N560 and work my way up if no one's tried this yet.

Thanks,

Chuck

Regards,

Chuck

RL 15 works well for me. That's all I've tried.

Hi jetdrvr, currently I'm using 72g of H4350 and getting 2410 fps. I'm thinking N560 because it's a little slower and folks have had very good results in other calibers with it. I'm also experimenting with seating the 350g Woodleighs to 3.60" OAL (which still leaves me .100" short of the lands and feeds and extracts well with dummy loads). I've loaded single rounds going up from 74g (I'm using once fired Rem brass and Rem 9 1/2M primers). I'll let you guys know how things work out. I typically load one round of each powder weight, figure out where max is, back off 1 grain, then load 6 rounds each plus/minus .5 grain around that and shoot for accuracy. Then I tweak seating depth. So I've got some fun ahead of me.

Chuck

I asked the question of VihtaVuori and they said do NOT compress or get past 95% loading density with their 500 series powders. So I'm shelving this idea. So I'm driving my rifle off to my gunsmith Kevin Weaver to get rechambered to 375 Weatherby to get the 2500 fps without undue pressure with the 350g Woodleighs that I'm looking for.

I averaged 2315 fps with Ray Atkinson's load of 67 grs of RE 15, Rem cases and Federal 215's. That's well within the velocity range for that bullet and accuracy is very good. That's out of a Model 70 with a 24" barrel. Taking that load to TZ in July for buff.

I'm getting 2360 fps with the 350g Woodleighs and 71g of H4350, 1 grain below Geoff's recommended max. I'm sure that's plenty, but sometimes that OCD (Obsessive, Complusive Disorder) sets in lol

Smiler
