Which is why they and their enablers have been so vociferous in their opposition to the 'ignore' feature.

The 470 Capstick would be a perfect use for that Enfield action. With the popularity of .475” pistols, there are also some good cast and jacketed bullets in the 325-450 gr range for plinker loads.

Paul

That was what ive been thinking. i want a 350rigby but I think i going to look for a mauser for that one. ive emailed Mr Ricks a few times I believe he said he has the reamer for the 470cap. Im going to try and get him to do the barrel for me. Narrowed it down to 404j or 470cap. Decisions decisions what to do

Dean

Jeffe got any leads on a good action for the rigby.

Dean,

The .404Jeffery will be more versatile; the .470 Capstick is really intended for large, thick-skinned beasts. You could use the .470 on lesser game, but why take the beating?

Jeffe, you sure seem to like that .376. I still have the dummies you made for me. If I ever make myself a .375 caliber rilfe it will be a .376 Steyr. You are absolutely right about the IGNORE aswell.

I have a bunch of projects going on, as the semester just started. A couple of them are:
- Ruger No.1, in 8mm Rem Mag
- Rem 721, in .280 Rem Ack Imp

I am also planning a big bore, but have not decided yet on the caliber. Although the .470 Capstick is still a heavy favorite. And I would like use a M'99 action.

Yeah, the ignore is cool!!! I just wish it had a "charlie brown's teacher" wav to go along with it!!

The 416 is going to be an AB that I finish out and get moving. Dennis is wannting a bigger bore, and he'll probably wind up with it. It'll be NICE, but nothing to right home about.

The 376 will start as a cz take off barrel, retimed and cut back for a vz. Since the shank has to come off, the chamber will clean up fine and the barrel thickness will be greater than the featherweights from winchester in wsms. This one should get a stalking rifle stock... haven't decided.

I've got a 243 that browningguy *thanks jeff* got em into!!

I've never OWNED a 6m... this one will come together as a very light truck carbine / kids gun.

Hmm, I still NEED a 338... anyone got a barrel? Dean got me into a nice VZ as well...

Kris, and others.
Yep, i DO love the 376... recoil is a tad more than the 358, NOTHING to a 375, and feeds like greased minnows!!

You do not have to remind everyone everytime that your ignore is on. We will see how long you can resist the temptation to bust Axel's bubble again. By the way, you ain't Robgunbuilder so please DO NOT pretend you are in the same leage as him.

My only project at the moment is a win 1886 that I want to convert to 50-110. Rifle is sitting at the exporters awaiting a Aussie import permit to start paper work on a USA export permit

Jeffe -

Barring sick kids and ruptured pipelines, this Friday I plan to trek to Carters on Treashwig to test fire the 458 SOCOM upper that is going to SHOT with us, as well as try a first hand at some groups with the 500 Phantom. Loaded up are the 525 gr Barnes Solid RN and the 750 gr Hornady Amax.

As the rifle is going to someone else I have just a simple 6x42 on it and will be testing at 50 yards. The recipient will be mounting USO SN-10 IIRC and test it at much greater ranges (600 yd)

Shoudl be fun. Hope to be there around noon. LMK if you want to meet there, I will have my cell phone on (number is on the website, see link)
